The Simple Woman's Daybook, Monday, September 30, 2013

For today...Monday, September 30, 2013

Outside my window...it is a beautiful afternoon! Sunny with a light, cool breeze! I love this kind of weather!

I am thinking...that it's going to be October tomorrow. Time goes by so quickly!

I am thankful...for God's mercy. He loves us more than I could ever imagine, and I'm grateful.

From the kitchen...leftover take-out pizza! :)

I am wearing...a short-sleeved coral top and a pair of shorts.

I am creating...this blog post. :)

I am going...to attempt to go without my daily fast-food restaurant sweet tea starting tomorrow. I'm sure I don't need all that caffeine and sugar.

I am wondering...what's wrong with my camera or camera card that it won't let me take or review photos on the camera. I don't want to lose all those photos! I'm going to see if I can upload them to my husband's laptop later tonight.

I am hoping...I really will eat healthier in October.

I am hearing...
cars going by and some sounds from a nearby business.

I am looking forward to...spending the night and doing some shopping in a larger city a couple of hours away in about two weeks. The selection is much better there, and there are certain things I'm looking for, including a new kitchen wall clock. Ours is very old, and even with new batteries, it won't work anymore.

Around the house...it's so quiet and comfortable with the breeze blowing in.

A favorite quote for today..."Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile." -- William Cullen Bryant

One of my favorite things...is when a good breeze makes the leaves fall. I love watching the leaves falling like snow!

A few plans for the rest of the week...work and a regular week. There will be a huge, annual rummage sale in town that I always go to. I go to look; sometimes I find a few things. :)

A picture thought I am sharing...

  1. First, I want to thank you for stopping by my blog earlier and leaving me such sweet words. What an encouragement! I enjoyed stopping by here today as well! Your blog is so peaceful by its very design and I love the way you put letters together to form words of all that is going on with you. I'll be thinking of you the month of October as you go without your favorite sweet tea. I had to give up on caffeine a while back when I realized that it was increasing my blood pressure. SO...it is herbal teas (which are great iced, as well as hot beverages) and then I switched from white sugar to raw sugar. Definitely made a difference for me! I'm really sorry to hear about your camera situation. I do hope that issue can be resolved, if the only thing that can be accomplished for now is to put them on your husband's computer. Pictures are priceless...they truly are. I hope your shopping trip that is coming up in a couple of weeks will bring you that desired kitchen clock. Our kitchen clock is one I bought for a song and a dance at a discount store close to 10 years ago. A year or so ago I got it in my head that I needed a new clock...really, what it amounted to for me was that I WANTED a new clock because my old one was still in good working condition. Anyway...I bought a couple of different ones and in the end can you guess what happened? I ended up passing them on to other people. Can you guess why? Yep...because I never found one that I liked any better. And so the old one still graces our kitchen wall! :-) All of that to say...I understand totally that choosing a new kitchen clock really is a big deal! Have a wonderful week! p.s. I'm adding your blog button over at the blog!

  4. Yes! HE even loves me when I am not so lovable...
Your picture thought is so true! Some times I catch myself sounding just like my mother. Not necessarily a bad thing. I am a new follower as I enjoyed my visit here today!
