Things I Love - Crockpot Time Conversion Chart - WFMW

I love the convenience of using a crockpot (you might call it a slow cooker), but sometimes the hours I have to work with don't agree with the hours the dish needs to be cooked. I might need to speed it up or slow it down, depending on my day.

I was very happy to see this pin on Pinterest that showed me just how to convert the recipe's time in the crockpot from a High setting to a Low one or vice versa. This chart will definitely come in handy for me, and it could be for you, too!

Recipe - Black Beans and Rice - WFMW

Here is a classic, simple recipe for black beans and rice. You can make it vegan/plant-based by using water or vegetable broth in place of the olive oil and by using vegetable broth in place of the chicken broth. Easy substitutions!

Doesn't this look good? That would hit the spot on this cold, cold winter day!

Things I Love - Free Cleaning Checklist - WFMW

Lists, lists! I love lists! And I love to make lists that will help me with any number of things. (Let's not talk about whether or not I use those lists after I spend all that mental energy making them!)

I came across this wonderful free printable this morning, and I think you'll like it, too. I found it through this pinterest pin thanks to Barb Hoyer at alifeinbalance. You'll find the web page here at simplyrebekah. Sit down with a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea and brainstorm a little. This checklist has 6 sections:
  1. Weekly
  2. Every 2 Weeks
  3. Monthly
  4. Every 3 Months
  5. Twice A Year
  6. Annually
