The Simple Woman's Daybook, July 9, 2012

Outside my is a beautiful day! Sunny, a little breezy, and not too warm.

I am thinking...that the summer is going by too fast!

I am thankful...for our daughters being home from college for the summer.

In the kitchen...there are lots of dishes from a lot of cooking this weekend.

I am shorts and a new top. :)

I am creating...this blog post. :)

I am be in and out of the house a lot today. Four people with jobs and one car means a lot of driving! I'm grateful that we have those jobs.

I am to do some things on my inexpensive new cell phone, a $19.99 special from tracfone, double minutes!

I am hoping...that the fibromyalgia pain that has increased so much today will calm down.

I am hearing...the whirr of the small fan I have to run near my laptop (the fan in the laptop doesn't work).

I am looking forward to...learning how to take a picture on my cell phone.

Around the is quiet and cool. I like that.

A favorite quote for today..."God can use an ordinary life to bring extraordinary blessings into the world." - Max Lucado

One of my favorite reading.

A few plans for the rest of the week...getting everyone (and myself) to and from work. It's a busy time.

A picture thought I am sharing...

Yum! Fried clams with whole bellies. So good!

  1. Enjoy your time with the girls home. Mine are 5 and 11 and just the thought of them being away is enough to make me cry. As it is I'm worried about Kindergarten in the fall for my little one. I'll either sob all day or have a party!

  2. I remember those days of chauffeuring kids to their jobs! You are so right, it is good to be thankful that you have those jobs.

Love the Lucado quote - so true!

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm your first follower!! Hope you'll follow back!:O)

  4. I love to read, what do you like to read?

    1. I like contemporary Christian fiction like "Playing by Heart" by Deborah Raney and "Mixed Signals" by Liz Curtis Higgs. What do you like?

    2. I like Amish stories, christian romance and also christian nonfiction stories also.

  5. Mmm, fried clams! Love 'em!

I remember the joy of having my daughter home for the summers. Now she's graduated and is home full-time, and I couldn't be happier!

I hope your fibromyalgia pain gets under control. I have friends with the same issue and it is debilitating. May the Lord give you the strength you need today to get everything on your to-do list done.

    Have a blessed week!
